Anne Harty Anne Harty has a passion for kids’ health, fitness, and safety. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Nursing and is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She is the school nurse at a preschool- 8th grade private school in Carmichael, CA. Anne is CrossFit Level 1 Certified and CrossFit Kids Certified. She is a certified American Red Cross Health and Safety instructor, which allows her to teach CPR/ AED for infants, children, and adults and Standard First Aid. Anne and her husband, Pat, have twin daughters. They both grew up in Sacramento. Anne attended St. Francis High School and Pat attended Jesuit High School, where they each played soccer and ran for their schools. After staying active in other fitness programs, Anne and Pat started CrossFitting in 2008 and have been hooked ever since. Her family has adopted the CrossFit lifestyle and they cheered Anne on as she competed on the CF East Sacramento affiliate team in 2009’s CrossFit Games' Affiliate Cup, where they finished in an impressive 9th place out of 97 teams from around the world. Their twin daughters cheered Anne on again, and this time Pat, too, as they competed on the CF East Sacramento affiliate team in 2010's CrossFit Games' Affiliate Cup at the Home Depot Center in Sothern California. Anne is very excited about coaching CrossFit Kids and looks forward to creating a new generation of CrossFitters!
Brooke Kiefer Being involved in athletics since the age of 5, Brooke has had a long time dedication to health and fitness. She went on to play collegiate soccer at Metropolitan State College of Denver where she was the captain of two national championship teams and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition. After graduating college, Brooke went on to be an assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Denver where she adopted the CrossFit methodology. Brooke is CrossFit Level 1 Certified, Olympic Lifting Certified, and Crossfit Kids Certified. Brooke is currently one of the coaches at CrossFit East Sacramento and also competed at the 2009 CrossFit Games on East Sacramento’s 9th place world wide affiliate team. Brooke is continuing her training in hopes of one day qualifying for the individual event at the CrossFit Games. Brooke and her fiancée moved to Sacramento from Denver in June of 2008. They have definitely found a home inside CrossFit East Sacramento’s walls. Brooke is thrilled to be coaching and having fun with the future fire breathers!
