Deadlift 3-3-3-2-2-2
3 Rounds:
30 Burpees onto 25# Plate
Rest 90 seconds
March 24th at the Wells Fargo building downtown will be the 3rd annual Fight For Air Climb.
This was a great event last year that a handful of our members participated in, including Jen Reynaga who beat over half the participants on the 34 story climb while wearing a 20lb vest.
This year they put in a 2x climb division for crazies like us. I also expect you to be carrying some kind of heavy object with you. Running up stairs would just be uneventful now wouldn't it, so lets take some vests, sandbags, small animals, or whatever to make it more entertaining.
We have a team registered, so go to the Fight For Air site and click "Join A Team." The team name is CrossFit East Sac of course. It costs 25 bucks to register and each participant is required to raise another 100, so 125 is the cost. Its a bit steep, but for a good cause. Not everyone who gets lung cancer is a smoker. Get in on it, lets show up and have some fun while participating in a slightly different kind of torture than we are accustomed to.

It was a 40lb vest. You threw down the 20lb vest on the blog, and somehow despite my years of reading training, I saw "40lbs" and did that.
This was a really fun event--it's really WODlike in that it is short and intense. I think my time with the vest was 7:39. The fastest climber was right around 4 minutes.
The view was stunning, and I think they feed you afterward.
I'm in.

Adaptations will be a 12 week course running for 6 on 1 off. The seminar is mandatory; the classes are not. You all should start thinking about what you would like to get better at. You guys will learn how to better train yourselves. How to scale your workouts being the most important part of this.

Hey, with all the CHANGE and the WOD today including 25# bumper plates, one has to wonder when we are going to CHANGE those worn out 25# bumper plates. If we do, I promise not to pull the ghost (see the video from 11/16/11 blog http://crossfiteastsac.typepad.com/crossfit_east_sacramento/2011/11/dont-be-that-guy.html#comments).

Mike, they're still heavy and have a hole in them. Something tells me they'll work just fine for your intentions...

Lippmann, its like riding a moped.

If you used nothing but 45# plates you wouldn't have that problem, right? Maybe Lene will cover that in "Adaptations"...

Travis, thanks for the positive talk this morning:)

Trey and I are signed up for the 40s, and yes, shirts would be awesome. I think they'll add at least a 5% increase in speed, strength and agility.
