Larry 150 Snatch from CrossFit East Sac on Vimeo.
Happy 50th Birthday from all of us at CrossFit East Sacramento! I speak for all of us when I say how impressive you are as an athlete! You are the epitome of what CrossFit can do for a person if they are willing to put in the work!
Larry has been with us since we opened and trained with Travis prior to that. He shows up 30 min early and leaves 30 min later than anyone else! Take a look at this video and learn from someone who continuously works on improving his overall game while many of us contine practicing what we are already good at! "If I could be like Larry!"

Happy Birthday Larry! Holy shit 50! Really? You are one badass old dude! Haha! Nice PR snatch lift. And I do want to be like Larry.

Happy Birthday!
If I am going to be in that kind of shape when I am 50, I better get working on it.
I am glad I won't have to compete against you next year at the NorCal 40s!!!!

I'd like to be like Larry, but I'm sure as hell happy I'm not 50!....yet. Larry, no matter what, you will always be a Father figure to me. 1/2 way to 100 years old and still kicking ass in the gym is pretty bad ass.

Is anyone surprised that the open wod is late?
Posted by: brother mike | February 22, 2012 at 05:08 PM
SWEET:
7 minutes AMRAP burpees.
Posted by: brother mike | February 22, 2012 at 05:09 PM
Burpees? Did I read that right? Fuck. I love burpees.I mean slurpees.
Posted by: dawn | February 22, 2012 at 05:15 PM
But, note that the burpees include a two-hands touch to an object at a height 6-inches over your reach. That probably won't be abused by some out there....
Posted by: John Michelmore | February 22, 2012 at 05:19 PM
I just DNF'd the Open.
Posted by: Matt P | February 22, 2012 at 05:32 PM
Everyone should check Thier WOD journal for October 11, 2011. Our workout was 100 burpees for time.
Posted by: Matt P | February 22, 2012 at 05:36 PM
Matt- I think that was 1 hand touch.
Posted by: brother mike | February 22, 2012 at 05:40 PM
What's a burpee? Hahahaaha. Just kidding.
MattP: for foundations, it was 75 burpees. Which I think I did in about 7 minutes. That was on a 4 inch plate too.
Anyway I guess I can do 75 burpees.
Posted by: Scott | February 22, 2012 at 05:40 PM
Scott, shoot for 85. Figure out how many you need to do per minute and just start right on that pace from the get go. Starts off doable for a while, then you gut it out for a few.
Posted by: Justin Riley | February 22, 2012 at 07:49 PM
91 beats Kaite Hogan. That would be a huge accomplishment.
Posted by: Justin Riley | February 22, 2012 at 07:52 PM
Mens leaderboard currently at 134 burpees.
Posted by: brother mike | February 22, 2012 at 08:02 PM
Happy Birthday Larry and Scott!
