We all remember Danny Nichols from TJ's Gym from the Throwdown in 2011 when he pulled the sled so fast he made it look like a cape then snatched 295#. This video shows him completing the entire stone ladder through 240# in 25 seconds. He made them look like toys. Then he snatches 225 for reps with the same speed and explosiveness that most of us have at 95#. He later came back and tried to lift the 280# stone. Got it in his lap, but couldn't manage to get it all the way up.
Check out the link above to see tons of video snippets from the weekend on SICFIT.com. Thanks to SICFIT for coming out and covering the event. But still a bigger thanks to all my volunteers and all our fellow affiliates for coming out and supporting.

Everyone lifts a little more when Josh is watching.
Congratulations to all the athletes from our gym. Truly amazing performances. And everyone from the other gyms; I can't wait for next year!

Yeah. Strong, and fast.

What an awesome display of strength!
Thanks for a great workout today. I'm pretty sure I wrote down the wrong weight for the tabata stone lift. Should be 115, not 165.
Congrats to all competitors this weekend, and kudos to Justin and Blair for organizing such a great event. It was a blast to witness.

This could have been a lot worse if Brogan, who was driving hadn't been quick to stop once she hit!! Great job Matt.

So the L1 WOD is denting the asphalt out back, for time?
The stone/snatch WOD was a great spectator's event. I loved watching people flop the first 2 stones up like they were foam, then notice the 3rd was heavy then absolutely fail on #4.

Danny Nichols is ridiculously strong. This is a video of the last part of his thruster ladder from the Regionals last year. The original thruster ladder was set up to 295# and when he had finished that they brought out more weights for him. he then proceeded to clean and thruster 305#, 315# and 325#. He then cleans but cannot thruster 335#.

Nichols is a beast! Makes those stones look easy...
Found this great entry not just on the paleo diet but on the hunter gatherer lifestyle -> http://ecco.vub.ac.be/?q=node/127

Thanks Adam...definitely the closest I have ever come to running someone over!

Matt: nice work.
John: I definitely want to avoid "boring and difficult to sustain for the rest of your life".

Danny is my new dream-boat guy. And now that I have two videos, I can just play the thruster and stones lift in a continuous loop on my media player. Happy girl.
