Rest Day
After 10 sets of 2 on camber bar chained box squats up to 235 with 120 in chains and 10 sets of 2 on power cleans up to 285 all in 20 minutes, I managed to squeak out this 300# power clean. It's not the prettiest thing I have ever done, but that tends to be how my max power cleans look.
Super stoked on this lift after all that work and haven't done a single clean since regionals in May.
What could be better? Better leg drive off the floor. Landing with butt back and elbows up in a squat stance instead of that wide ugly toe heavy stance.
Getting stronger is the reason this lift was possible. With even more strength and better technique, there is even more potential down the road. Looking forward to that.

Good job! Definitely could get more with the stance and elbows, but 300# is a huge benchmark.

As most of you know the McKinley Park playground was destroyed by an arsonist. There have been a lot of fundraisers going on and I got an e mail about a 5k to raise money to rebuild the playground coming up on September 8. Here is the registration site:

Nice clean in running shoes. Maybe you need to sign up for the next Oly meet.
