The chance to compete in a women's only powerlifting meet is a unique oppritunity. If you are female and interested in trying your hand at a powerlifting meet, you should do it here in town on Sunday November 4th. All levels of lifter are encouraged to participate, and we will see all levels of female lifters from old to young and from geared up in suits to raw lifters. If you aren't up for throwing your neck on the line, you can at least go over to Midtown and see some of the world's strongest women squat, bench press and deadlift.
The next Monday after the meet, mobility and physical therapy guru Kelly Starrett will be over at Midtown Strength and Conditioning doing a one day seminar on mobilty and body maintenance for the powerlifter. You may not consider yourself a powerlifter, but guess what, if you CrossFit, you perform all of the powerlifts, and you frequently squat and deadlift. So you might want to check this out.

Sign up, ladies! We'll train for it in class (guys, you too), but I'm going to be gone that weekend for a CF Football Cert so I can't coach you at the meet. :(
