13.1
For Time:
40, 30, 20, 10 Burpees 6" Jump
30 Snatch 75, 135, 165, 210/45, 75, 100, 110
The fearless Ruth McLoughlin has been participating in CrossFit Masters since the first time there was a masters comp back in 2010. Every time she has competed, she has had break throughs. This year Ruth had never snatched a 75# barbell, and not only did she make the lift during the Open WOD yesterday for a PR, but she lifted that new PR 9 times! There will never again be a day that Ruth cannot snatch 75.
Most everyone who participates in the Open will have some sort of break through like this. We have seen it both previous years of the Open and we will continue to. If you haven't yet signed up, show up today, do your best, go home and sign up and enter your score. CrossFitting means so much more than showing up to WODs 3x per week. Get in the game, and great job Ruth and way to lead by example!

Amazing job, Ruth!! Good luck to everyone doing 13.1 today! It's a long one so remember to think positive, make each rep count and most importantly HAVE FUN!!

In the words of a wise kid... "That was totally wicked". Movie reference my daughter often quotes! Great lift Ruth!

Alice wonders what "report the elapsed time not the remaining time" after the last full set of 30 snatches mean in HQ land. Their demo video reports the time remaining (in my translation). Justin, please, clarify.

Justin, or Sean Talley, please confirm what my tiebreaker time was for today's 13.1 WOD. I think it was 12:15, but not sure. Thanks.

Ok. I am having a WTF moment. I realized before today that 13.1 was very much like the first two WODs of 2012, but as I sit here reading the blog, I realize that 13.1 is exactly 12.1 plus 12.2--7 minutes of burpees and 10 minutes for 2 sets of 30 snatches at the same weights as last year.
Two WODs in one. And we all did it! Ha ha! I even beat my score for last year by 4 burpees--and I know I am hardly the only one who beat last year's score.
To everyone who showed up and finished this beezee, walk proud!
