I'm not going to pretend I follow the paleo guidelines, but now that it's summer, I find myself back to doing my favorite thing--grilling. Last night, I was jonesing for my absolute favorite and so I heated up my cast iron skillet on the grill. I added venison italian sausage that my brother and nephew prepared (see earlier posts) and to that I added fresh garlic from our CSA, basil from the garden and diced tomatoes.
400 degrees and thirty minutes later, I had a great meal and a cool house. So to me, it begs the question, why doesn't eating paleo include cooking paleo? This wasn't paleo either, for many reasons. I have a gas grill and I used canned tomatoes, but it's close. And it's energy efficient--also paleo. I'm just sayin', if you're gonna tout that we should all be eating and working out like cavemen, I'm not sure it's as easy to say we be livin' the caveman lifestyle.
Wow that was one nice paleo information, happy cooking and have a great day
Cheers
