A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Roseville Police Activities League a non-profit organization working to build positive relationships between youth, police officers, and the community through a variety of recreational, athletic, social, and cultural activities and programs. RPAL has recently added CrossFit Kids to their programming to aid in the fight against childhood obesity.
"CrossFit Kids at RPAL started in June 2011. It is the first CrossFit Kids program in the nation at a Police Activities League. We are a non-profit and exist only on donations. Classes are taught by certified CrossFit trainers who are also Roseville Police Officers. Partnering with CrossFit East Sac on the Sac Throwdown gives us the opportunity to raise money and expand our program in the fight against childhood obesity. Every single one of you are roll models and have the ability to change a child's life just by having the courage to compete and the resolve to finish a workout. Our kids and teens will be helping with the event and we can't tell you how excited we are to share our humble box with the extended CrossFit community. Thank you for your fearlessness in what promises to be an epic battle in February."
